Expo Panel To Lend Insight Into What Buyers Want

Washington — For the third year, the Sweets & Snacks Expo education series will feature Power Pitch: Lessons for Buyers and Sellers, giving new product developers a glimpse into what information retail decision-makers seek when evaluating an item.

First-time Expo exhibitors Lake Champlain Chocolates Co.; Snack It Forward, LLC; and Snowflakes Candy Mints will present new products to a panel of retail experts comprised of Donna Burghardt, category manager for Bed, Bath and Beyond Inc.; Chris Ebanks, category leader at Party City Corp.; Hilary Freedman, owner of Just A Thought, LLC and c-store category leader; Jeff Rubin, president and founder of IT’SUGAR; and Kayla Verney, category manager, BJ’s Wholesale Club Inc. The session will be moderated by industry veteran Michael Sansolo, from morningnewsbeat.com.

“Power Pitch has quickly become a signature session in our Sweets & Snacks Expo program,” says Expo Chairman Barry Rosenbaum, president of Nassau Candy Distributors, Inc. “The presenting companies will have access to valuable feedback from various category leaders they may not normally receive.”
