Plano, TX — Back by popular demand, Frito-Lay North America, Inc. is releasing variety packs with “snackable notes,” and tying the limited-edition packaging to its support for Feed The Children, the snack maker reports. The special packaging features space for messages in an effort to connect parents and children throughout the day.
Through October 15, for every note written on a Frito-Lay chip bag and submitted to snackablenotes.com, the company reports it will donate $1 to the anti-hunger organization, supplementing up to two million meals.
To help kick off the program, Frito-Lay partnered with actor Marcus Scribner to host an event near downtown LA centered on distributing food, school supplies and other essentials to families.
“Simple words of encouragement can help improve a student’s self-esteem, perseverance and internal motivation — providing the confidence needed to advance their education and break the cycle of poverty,” says Rhasheda Boyd, senior marketing director, Frito-Lay North America. “The Snackable Notes program keeps those encouraging words top-of-mind throughout the school day for countless students, and now extends virtually to truly help hungry kids through our partnership with Feed the Children.”
