Global Premium Chocolate Sales Expected To Rise 7%

London — Worldwide sales for premium chocolate are anticipated to increase 7 percent by 2022, according to Technavio, which notes the gains would represent slightly more than $7 billion in incremental growth.

New product launches and consumers’ on-going interest in organic, vegan, sugarfree and gluten-free chocolates will lift the market, according to Technavio. Additionally, chocolate manufacturers are launching more premium products in developing nations, such as India, which will further expand growth for the sector.

Technavio reports that most of the growth will come from the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, which is expected to have a 40 percent market share during the forecast period.
