Hershey, PA — The Hershey Co. is declaring May 18 “I <3 Reese’s Day” as part of the launch of Reese’s Outrageous bars, which is also being highlighted with a contest asking consumers to show their “outrageous fandom” for the brand, the candymaker reports.
The company is asking consumers to post on Instagram and Twitter original photos and video showing their devotion to the brand. The first 100 qualified entries will receive a box of Reese’s Outrageous bars, and one post will be chosen for the top prize of a year’s supply of Reese’s products and $10,000. The contest runs May 18 to June 1.
“The Reese’s brand has the most passionate and outgoing fans in the world,” says Eric Bowers, Reese’s brand manager. “To celebrate the launch of Reese’s Outrageous, there is no better way than taking inspiration from our fans. We’re taking our fans’ passion to the next level, not only with the outrageous new product, but by recreating their Reese’s fandom in epic ways.”
The new Reese’s bars feature milk chocolate covering peanuts, Reese’s Pieces and caramel with a peanut butter center.
