Hershey, PA — One lucky pet will get the chance to star in the Cadbury brand’s iconic clucking bunny commercial, as The Hershey Co. is hosting a Bunny Tryouts contest.
Consumers can enter by snapping a photo of their pet wearing bunny ears and submitting the image on bunnytryouts.cadburyusa.com by March 6. Entries will be judged by Instagram-famous dog Doug the Pug and its owner, according to the company. On March 7, 20 semi-finalists will be selected to submit videos of their pets, and one winner will be chosen to be featured in Cadbury’s 2019 Easter campaign and receive $5,000.
Additionally, a $10,000 donation of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is being made by the company.
“You can’t go a day without seeing adorable pets flood your social media channels. The pride that pet moms and dads have for their fur babies is undeniable,” says Katrina Vatter, marketing team member, Cadbury US. “For years we’ve seen sweet photos of their animals donning the famous Cadbury bunny ears and now we want to give pet owners the chance to show off their pets in our iconic ad.”
