Hackettstown, NJ — Through the end of September, consumers can send friends Snickers bars along with humorous videos through Mars Wrigley Confectionery U.S., LLC’s national “Big Mood” micro-gifting campaign, a first for the candymaker.
Consumers can participate by texting Big Mood to 62770, scanning QR codes on special displays in Walmart, Inc. stores and by visiting snickersbigmood.com, according to Mars Wrigley.
As part of the program, Mars Wrigley worked with Caleon Fox, an Oakland-based rapper and “YouTube star,” to create custom videos that “reflect different comical moods,” the company reports.
“At Mars, we want to leverage technologies that will bring the world closer together,” says Josh Olken, brand director, Snickers. “For Snickers, that means giving our fans new ways to experience satisfaction. With ‘Big Mood,’ not only are they giving a candy bar that is sure to satisfy, they also are getting the satisfaction of connecting with others — and the opportunity to pay it forward with their own ‘Big Mood’ gift.”
