NCA Reveals 2018 Future Leadership Program Class

Washington — Highlighting the full depth of the confectionery industry, with representatives ranging from chocolate suppliers and manufacturers to retailers, the 2018 class of NCA’s Future Leadership Program is Arshbir Ghuman, of Mars Wrigley Confectionery U.S., LLC; Lana Jones, of Walgreen Co.; Sharon Montgomery, of Adams & Brooks, Inc.; Jason Musick, of Jason Scott Specialty Foods; and Melissa Tisoncik, of Blommer Chocolate Co.

“The Future Leadership Program is a very important strategic initiative that was designed to help build knowledge and leadership skills of young professionals in the confectionery industry,” says NCA President and CEO John Downs. “This program provides a comprehensive experience for our young people to further develop talents and careers within their respective companies.”

Launched in 2016 with support from the NCSA Candy Hall of Fame, the one-year program offers support, education, access and opportunities to those aiming to advance their industry careers. Members of the Future Leadership class will attend NCA’s State of the Industry Conference, Sweets & Snacks Expo, Summer Board & Leadership Strategy Meeting, the Washington Forum and the NCSA’s Candy Hall of Fame induction weekend.

In addition, program participants are matched with highly regarded industry leaders, who serve as formal mentors, according to the Association.
