NCA Supports STEM Education and Chocolate

Last week NCA had a unique opportunity to sponsor a Congressional luncheon with the Center for Excellence in Education, a non-profit that promotes education in the area of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. This year’s CEE alumni speaker was Dr. Pam Taub, a cardiologist and researcher at University of California, San Diego whose research has shown that cocoa and dark chocolate may play a beneficial role in helping to control high blood pressure, diabetes and heart disease. We hosted Rep. Barbara Comstock (R-VA), Rep. Scott Peters (D-CA) and Rep. Rob Wittman (R-VA) at the chocolate-themed luncheon where each attendee received a premium chocolate gift.
