Nominations Open For NCA 2018 Candy Dish Awards


Washington, DC — The NCA is accepting nominations for its annual Golden Candy Dish and Silver Candy Dish awards, which will be presented in May during the Association’s Sweets & Snacks Expo trade show.

2017 Golden Candy Dish Award winner Rayelynn Speer, Atkinson-Crawford Sales Co., NCA Chairman Michael Rosenberg and 2017 Silver Candy Dish award recipient  Mitchell Goetze, Goetze’s Candy Co., Inc.

The Lou Spector Golden Candy Dish is presented to a broker who has performed above the normal call of business to promote the confectionery industry. The Association notes the award is bestowed on an individual who has grown the overall performance of the category through partnering with principals and customers, and has taken a leadership role in the industry.

The Doc Reed Silver Candy Dish dates back to 1961 is conferred on a manager in a sales, marketing or general management position of a confectionery manufacturer or marketer who has made significant contributions to selling candy. The award reflect the accomplishments of  someone whose efforts have improved the performance of the overall confectionery industry.

The Association notes only individuals from NCA member companies are eligible to make nominations.
