New York — Mondelez International, Inc.’s Oreo Chocolate Candy Bars and Toffifay from Storck U.S.A. L.P. were winners of 2018 Product of the Year USA awards in candy bars and sugar confections categories, respectively.
Organized by Product of The Year, the awards are given based on a national survey of 40,000 consumers conducted by Kantar TNS.
“Toffifay has been enjoyed around the globe for many years, and we’re excited to bring this indulgent, multi-textured treat to U.S. consumers,” says Mike Sager, marketing — Toffifay. “Hazelnut is a growing flavor trend in the U.S., and Toffifay delivers a highly unique eating experience with its whole roasted hazelnut, chewy caramel cup, hazelnut cream and drop of chocolate.”
In addition to the two candy brands honored, Aldi, Inc.’s Elevation by Millville High Protein Bars received the better-for-you snack award.
“Product of the year answers an essential question; ‘how do I find great products,’” says Mike Nolan, CEO of Product of the Year. “With so many launches, so many claims, how do you find the best? This year, a record number of products entered to compete for the winning spot in their respective categories. Product of the Year’s distinctive red seal of approval continues to help shoppers find the best new products on the shelves and give the winners a well-earned competitive advantage.”
