Bluffton, IN — Tim Jax has been named vice-president of marketing and innovation for Pretzels, Inc., while Carey Hoffman has joined the company as director of R&D. The new hires come on the recent announcement of a 120,000-square-foot expansion at the snack maker’s Plymouth, IN, facility.
Jax joins the company from TreeHouse Foods, Inc., where he served as general manager. Prior to this, he worked as a brand manager leading snack innovation for ConAgra Brands, Inc.
With more than 14 years of experience in food science, Hoffman most recently worked as associate director of new product development at Reily Foods Co. She also served as a R&D research scientist for The Hershey Co.
Additionally, Rod Troni has joined the company’s board. He brings more than 25 years of experience to the position. He previously worked at Snyder’s-Lance, Inc., where he led R&D, marketing, innovation and revenue management functions, according to Pretzels, Inc.
