Allendale, NJ — Announcing plans for a $30 million investment, The Promotion In Motion Cos., Inc. broke ground on a nearly 80,000-square-foot expansion of its manufacturing facility located in Franklin Township, NJ.
The addition will help address the company’s increasing product demand by allowing for new production lines, as well as a new Welch’s Fruit Snacks Factory Tour and Visitors Center, according to the company, which it estimates will host up to one million visitors annually.
Promotion in Motion notes it is investing more than $30 million into the expanded facilities, which will total more than250,000 square feet when complete and bring its total presence in Franklin Township to more than 750,000 square feet of production and distribution.
The company celebrated the expansion with a ceremony on May 30th, where Promotion In Motion executives, led by President & CEO Michael G. Rosenberg, and were joined by Somerset Mayor Phillip Kramer; former Mayor Brian Levine; Somerset County Board of Chosen Freeholder Pat Walsh, and other local and county officials.
Mayor Kramer noted: “I’m eager to see this installation happen. Promotion In Motion has been a great citizen here in Franklin employing more than 800 people.”
“We are continuously working to grow our business and to upgrade in scope and scale,” said Rosenberg. “This expansion will allow the company to continue growing our domestic and international footprints as we’ve been successfully driving double digit growth year over year.”
According to the company, the expanded facility allows for an increase of 50 million pounds products. C&ST
