Clinton Township, MI — Sanders Candy is hosting a grand re-opening on October 14, for its Chocolate & Ice Cream Shoppe, located inside the company’s Michigan headquarters and chocolate factory.
The candymaker will host a ribbon cutting at 9 am with a special appearance by Detroit Lions mascot Roary the Lion, and there will be a daylong celebration featuring giveaways, special in-store offers, free samples and other family-friendly activities.
The remodeled store is about 30 percent larger, with indoor seating being expanded to accommodate 50 people and additional outdoor seating areas, according to the company. The shop also features two chocolate waterfalls, a fully visible bakery and marble countertops that pay homage to the classic fountain counters of Sanders’ shops from the early 1900s.
“We’ve put a lot of thought into loading the store with features to create memories that will last a lifetime,” says Brain Jefferson, Chairman and CEO of Sanders Candy. “We want visitors to feel compelled to say for a while when they come to this store.”
