Camp Hill, PA — Kevin Silva is stepping down as president and CEO of The Warrell Corp after leading the company for two-and-half years, and an executive search for his replacement is underway, the candymaker reports.
“During the past two and a half years, our employees have made significant facilities upgrades and operational improvements, while building a continuously improving culture in the manufacturing plant,” Silva says. “We have a very solid base to build from; I believe the organization is ready for a new leader to take us to the next level.”
The company has tapped North Group Consultants, of Litiz, PA, to conduct a nationwide search for a replacement. The decision to seek a new chief executive was driven by Silva, who will remain in his current role until a successor is found, the company reports.
Ken Freeman, non-executive chairman of the board at Warrell, says: “The entire Warrell family remains committed to our company. The changes taking place in the food industry include increasing consumer demand for better-for-you snacking, the need for major branded marketers to accelerate innovation by partnering with external development and manufacturing resources, and commitment of leading retailers to market their own premium private label brands. All of these represent exciting growth opportunities for The Warrell Corporation.”
