Supervalu Promotes Dament To EVP Retail, Marketing & Private Label

Minneapolis — Anne Dament has been promoted to executive vice-president of retail, marketing and private brands for Supervalu, Inc.

She joined the company earlier this year and has been instrumental in developing the retailer’s plan and implantation strategy to improve its operations. Additionally, Dament helped reorganize multiple merchandise groups, consolidate wholesale and retail marketing efforts and drive product introductions, according to the company. Regarding support of new items, she was instrumental in launching more than 350 private label items this year.

“Anne is a smart, creative and dynamic leader and has made a significant impact on our team in a short time frame,” says Mark Gross, president and CEO for the retailer. “During the past year, she’s set a positive vision for our initiatives, particularly here in Minnesota, introducing exciting new product innovations to wholesale and retail, and brought greater collaboration between our retail and wholesale teams.”

The company also appointed Stuart McFarland senior vice-president, general counsel and corporate secretary. He replaces Karala Robertson, who is retiring this month. McFarland has been with Supervalu since 2010, most recently serving as vice-president, associate general counsel and assistant corporate secretary.
