Wauconda, IL — Synergy Flavors, Inc. has added to its management team with the appointments of Mike Brown to vice-president of research, development and innovation; Parveen Werner as associate director of marketing; and Scott Manion to associate director of purchasing.
Brown joins the flavor house from The Coca-Cola Co., where he was director of global ingredient function and research. In his new role, he will lead the company’s innovation and business strategy development as well as employee engagement.
Werner will oversee Synergy’s corporate responsibility initiative development, food and beverage market strategies and public relations plans. She brings more than 20 years of experience to her new role, and previously worked for Barry Callebaut AG, Hillshire Brands and Heinz.
Leading Synergy’s North American procurement team, overseeing global sourcing of vanilla and expanding into other global flavor categories, Manion joins the company from Kraft.
