St. Louis — Pacific Bag, LLC has been purchased by TricorBraun, Inc., and will be combined with the acquiring firm’s existing flexibles operations through its Taipak business, to establish TricorBraun Flex, a division focused on flexible packaging innovations.
The deal marks the sixth acquisition by TricorBraun during the past 18 months, according to the company.
“This is an important day for TricorBraun and a natural step in our evolution as we build the global packaging leader,” says Court Carruthers, president and CEO, TricorBraun. “The acquisition of Pacific Bag further bolsters our presence in the flexibles space, building on our highly successful acquisition of Taipak. We are excited to welcome Pacific Bag to the TricorBraun family.”
Taipak and Pacific Bag will continue to work out of their existing locations while operating under the TricorBraun Flex banner, the acquiring company reports. Pacific Bag serves some 4,500 customers in more than 50 countries, and the company’s executive team, including CEO Mark Howley, will remain with TricorBraun.
“Pacific Bag is excited to join forces with TricorBraun,” says Howley. “Our business has grown over the years to help customers all over the world, and by joining TricorBraun we are confident the combined business will become a stronger supplier. Our product line will expand and our ability to meet the demands of the market will dramatically improve.”
