U.S. Consumers Use Shopping Apps Two To Five Times Weekly


Washington — More than one-third of U.S. consumers use shopping apps between two and five times per week, with nearly 30 percent saying they use them at least once a day, according to a survey by Visual Objects, a portfolio website for top creative agencies.

The poll also revealed that nearly 80 percent of shoppers use retailer apps while at home, as opposed to on the go. Apps connected to pure-play online retailers see the most in-home use, followed by mass merchants, apparel and c-store apps, according to Visual Objects.

Looking at overall retailer app usage, the survey found programs from mass merchants are the most likely to be used, followed by pure ecommerce players such as Amazon.com, Inc. and apparel retailers.
