Bentonville, AR — From California to Florida, Walmart, Inc. locations across the country are being revamped as part of an approximately $11 billion investment, the mass retailer reports.

Improvement include adding 1,200 autonomous floor scrubbers, 300 autonomous shelf-scanners, 900 pickup towers and 1,200 FAST unloaders, which automatically scan and sort items that come off trucks based on priority and department, allowing associates to spend less time unloading and more time on the floor with customers, according to Walmart.

The retailer also plans to expand online grocery pickup to an additional 1,000 locations and add another 800 stores to its footprint.
