Chicago — World’s Finest Chocolate, Inc. is launching the 10 million chocolate bar challenge to support the efforts of healthcare workers and those on the front lines in the fight against COVID-19. According to company owners Eddie and Sarah Opler, the majority of World’s Finest’s business is based on fundraising programs for schools and youth athletics’ programs in the U.S. and Canada and with the closing of schools and cancelation of youth activities that could extend through the summer the company looked for a way to give back.

“As you are aware, we are in unprecedented times in our country dealing with COVID-19. For all of us, this has meant a dramatic change to all of our daily lives, workplaces and businesses in general. This is no different for our family and for our business,” Opler says. “The best year in our company’s history came to a grinding halt and we have moved to remote work for those who can and temporarily closed the factory.”

Faced with the challenging environment, the company chose to come up with a way to do good, Opler explains. The program promises to donate up to 10 million chocolate bars beginning with an initial one million bar donation by the company and then a promise to send a 60-ct box of bars to front line workers for every box purchased. “WFC will give 60 Healthcare Heroes a small respite and something to smile about during these most difficult times,” says Opler.

Product can be purchased through the company’s website www.WFCHealthcareHeroes.com.
