New York — Between June 2018 and June 2019, Yowie Group Ltd. donated a percentage of net proceeds from its Wildlife Conservation Series, totaling $250,000, to the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS).
The philanthropic program aligns with one of the company’s core missions of encouraging parents to have conversations with their children about the environment, according to the candymaker.
Yowie chocolates are shaped as one of six characters. Each milk chocolate surprise pack holds a limited-edition animal figurine and full color leaflet featuring photos of the animal and information on its characteristics and conservation status.
WCS uses conservation science to secure protections for threatened wildlife species across the planet’s largest intact wild places, Yowie reports.
